Caution:-
- Although soya bean is important food there are things one be cautious
- Soya bean causes diarrhoea, vomit senation (nausea) and extreme stomach pain if eaten raw.
- Eating it by just soaking in water for hours, can be extremely dangerous may lead to sudden death if consumed in large amount.
- It is necessary to atleast boil the bean so gets converted to consumable protein.
- If consumed raw, drink plenty of water, lime juice and do exercise to lessen stomach pain
- Soy can also trigger symptoms via food intolerance, a situation where no allergic mechanism can be proven. One scenario is seen in very young infants who have vomiting and diarrhoea when fed soy-based formula, which resolves when the formula is withdrawn.
